Lucie Desrochers: A fulfilled Career and a Well-Deserved Retirement

It is with mixed feelings that we recently announced the retirement of Lucie Desrochers, the second Direct Impact Solutions employee to leave us for a well-deserved retirement. After a long and diversified career in administrative and financial positions, Lucie has been a pillar for our team since her arrival in 2012. Her career reflects a deep commitment to her colleagues and an admirable capacity for adaptation which has marked our company.

A Career Rich in Diversified Experiences

Lucie began her career in administrative support at the Fiducie du Québec, in the heart of Old Montreal, in the 1970s. She then took a professional turn when she settled in Mirabel, where she attended the launch of the Mirabel airport while working for Lep International, a customs brokerage firm. Her career then continued in the Laval region, where she held an assistant position in an accounting firm for more than 18 years, before taking on the role of financial director at Tourisme Laval for nearly a decade.

A “Pre-Retirement” Turned Into a Decade of Expertise at Direct Impact Solutions

In 2012, Lucie, then on the verge of retirement, was looking for a job that would allow her to work part-time while enjoying more flexibility. She joined Direct Impact Solutions with the aim of “pre-retiring” as assistant to the financial director. Her skills and dedication quickly made her a valuable resource, and she continued to support the company, working in the financial and human resources departments.

Lucie mentions that our company has always listened to her needs, particularly in allowing her to work remotely well before the pandemic. “Direct Impact Solutions allowed me to work from Florida for several years, giving me the opportunity to reconcile my professional ambitions and my personal goals,” confides Lucie. She is grateful for this flexibility, which allowed for a longer-than-expected collaboration, while helping to maintain a relationship of trust and mutual respect.

A Word of Gratitude

Lucie would like to thank the company’s partners for their openness and support: “It is invaluable to see that management is attentive to the needs of each employee. I had the opportunity to observe the benefits, and I always felt appreciated and supported in my goals,” she says.

We would like to express our gratitude to Lucie for her dedicated work, her loyalty, and her undeniable contribution to the success of Direct Impact Solutions. We will miss her presence greatly, and we wish her all happiness and serenity in this new chapter of her life.
